Duende

Duende is a Spanish word that means the power of the earth that rises up from the ground, transferred into the Flamenco dancer as they stomp their feet on the ground.  I was inspired to describe the power of this piece by reading the poetry of Garcia Lorca. 

Duende was originally commissioned by Ken Hagard and Polly Cooper of San Luis Solar Group for their personal residence.  They are clear glass inserts in their interior doors.  They are also stunning in black and I did one in blood red as well.
